STATE & ABPA CERTIFIED BACKFLOW TESTER
Backflow Testing in St. George & Washington County
Annual testing, inspection, maintenance, and the paperwork handled by a certified tester who knows irrigation inside and out. Stay compliant and keep your water safe.
Why backflow testing matters
Your backflow preventer is a one-way valve between your sprinkler system and the city’s drinking water. If pressure drops, it stops fertilizer, weed killer, and dirty yard water from being pulled back into the supply that feeds your home and your neighbors.
Valves wear out, seals fail, and freeze damage happens. A failed assembly looks fine from the outside. Only a certified test tells you it’s working.
It's required, every year
St. George City Code requires backflow assemblies to be tested at least once a year by a certified tester, at the property owner’s expense. Other Washington County water providers run similar programs. We’ll make sure you meet yours.

Common questions
At least once a year in St. George. Some providers or high-hazard properties require more often. We’ll tell you what applies to yours.
Any time of year. Many customers schedule theirs in spring, before peak watering season, so the assembly is checked before the heavy summer use. We test year-round.
We’ll show you what failed and walk you through the maintenance it needs before we start. Many assemblies pass after maintenance and a retest, often on the same visit.
Usually 20–30 minutes. Your water is shut off briefly during the test. If the assembly is accessible outside, you don’t need to be home.
Yes. We test any residential or commercial irrigation backflow assembly.
